Lessons from my Social Media Detox
In the beginning of 2022, I had a strong desire to get off social media. My mind continuously played tricks on me -- telling me I wouldn't be able to delete it, I'd miss out on friends lives, and I wouldn't be able to get new clients if I wasn't…

Thank You Cambodia
After already being in Vietnam I felt as though landing in Cambodia was going to be ‘easier’. Meaning, less of a culture shock and easier to adjust.
Boy was I wrong. Maybe it’s the fact that I just came from beautiful, clean land of…

Gold Coast, We Meet Again.
As I sit on the beach listening to the waves crash I find myself people watching and reminiscing. Being here five years later is a bit of an emotional roller-coaster. One I know I needed to ride in order to move forward in my life.
One minute…

Emotions I Wasn’t Expecting While Traveling Vietnam
Where has the time gone? As I lay in a hammock on the beach listening to the waves crash I feel a sense of relaxation for the first time in weeks. I thought I was leaving for this trip to escape the 9-5 grind and be schedule free. However, that has yet to happen. Today is the first day which I can say I woke up refreshed after a full night's sleep, with no alarm at 8 am and spent my morning how I wanted to spend it. Meditating, walking along the beach and really just taking in the last few weeks of chaos and reflecting on what I’ve learned.

NOTE TO SELF: Importance of Self Care
In order for something to grow, you must nourish it. You feed your children, you feed your pets, and you feed yourself. If you want to learn a skill you must show up everyday and work on that skill. Nourish it until it grows.
If there is one thing that I have learned while being a health coach, it is that we must nourish OURSELVES as we nourish our business and every other aspect of our lives. Sometimes you can get so wrapped up in all the creativity, learning and excitement of running a business that you forget to take care of yourself.

LADIES, DO YOU FEEL THE PRESSURE?
Somedays I really wonder how women go through their entire lives with the pressures of society constantly on them.
Today I was chatting with an older women who was absolutely radiant. She looked happy as could be and was truly glowing. Yet the first words out of her mouth, to my surprise were “what ever you do don’t get old” - and let me just say I CAN NOT count the amount of times I hear this statement in a week. Mind you, I do live in a ‘retirement community’ (most likely because I am an old soul and I fit in here) but it still shocks me the amount of people who make growing old and even retirement sound DAUNTING.

Big Magic
This is one of those books you constantly see popping up on Instagram. You probably noticed it a few times simply because it has a wicked cover. I don’t care what they say, I always judge a book by its cover! This book caught my eye and I am so thankful that it did. Elizabeth Gilbert truly changed my perspective on creativity and my current living situation (you know, working for someone else while living with a burning desire to be an entrepreneur).

Are You Losing Faith in Humanity?
With all that has been going on in the world lately it sometimes makes you wonder if there are any good people left out there. Sometimes I question where our world is heading and it can be hard to reach out and be vulnerable when you feel like you can’t trust anyone as you continue to hear more and more terrible stories.
